Ordering sympathy flowers is usually someone's first time doing it, and often under the worst circumstances. We keep it gentle: a short conversation, a considered piece, and delivery details we coordinate ourselves: with the funeral home, the marae or the family's contact person, whichever fits.
If you knew something about them (a garden they kept, a flower they loved, a colour that was theirs) tell us. The pieces that mean the most are the ones with a person inside them, and we will always find a way to put one there.

Ren handles sympathy personally
Every sympathy order goes to Ren's bench. It's the work she refuses to delegate. The conversation is unhurried, the stems are the best in the room that week, and the piece leaves looking like someone cared, because someone did.
If you're ordering from out of town for an Oamaru service, that works fine. Most of our sympathy orders come from people who can't be there themselves.
